This button was designed specially for the costume which graces the cover of our book, The Tudor Child. The costume was based on the painting of Lady Mary Feilding, aged seven (1620) by Daniel Mytens, Weiss Gallery, London.
The small proportions of the gown required similarly petite buttons. These are the smallest buttons we carry and are particularly suited to children's clothing of the late 16th and early 17th centuries.
We're thrilled to offer a variety of reproduction buttons made exclusively for The Tudor Tailor by Michael Perry. All are based on original sources and are cast in lead-free pewter. They are sold in boxes of 12.
Please note, the photo with the black background shows various button styles we offer and is only for reference. This listing is for 12 matching buttons of a single style.
Any photos of the buttons sewn to a garment is for illustrative purposes only - no garments are included in this listing.
