Pattern for early Tudor man's shirt with variations
• Made exclusively by The Tudor Tailor
Sewing pattern for two styles of early Tudor men's shirts with neckline and sleeve variations. The shirt can be made in a basic style for lower class Tudors or with gathered collar and cuffs with optional neck and wrist frills for middle and upper class Tudors. Ideal for late 15th and 16th century impressions. With full instructions for choosing materials, sizing and constructing garments - perfect for reenactors.
Highly researched and based on documentary descriptions, extant examples and paintings. Please see the image of the pattern envelope for specific sources.
Our bleached linen makes up nicely into shirts. Our hemp also makes lovely, soft shirts and works especially well for working class Tudors.
