This button design is copied from original pewter buttons, in imitation of a worked thread type, on a leather jerkin (circa 1560) in the Museum of London, illustrated in Janet Arnold's Patterns of Fashion: the cut and construction of clothes for men and women c1560-1620.

We're thrilled to offer a variety of reproduction buttons made exclusively for The Tudor Tailor by Michael Perry. All are based on original sources and are cast in lead-free pewter. They are sold in boxes of 12.

Please note, the photo with the black background shows various button styles we offer and is only for reference. This listing is for 12 matching buttons of a single style.

The photo of the buttons sewn to a garment shows the smaller size and is for illustrative purposes only - no garments are included in this listing.
