Woman's late 15th to early 16th century Tudor style gown made for The Queen's Servants book and suitable for a middling or gentle woman from 1485 to the 1510s

Made of violet 100% wool broadcloth lined in black linen. The gown has a scooped neckline at the front and a deep V at the back. The skirt cut to fit smoothly to the waist and flares out to a full hem which is finished with black velvet binding. The gown is fastened at the front and wrists with handmade brass hooks and eyes. All finishing is by hand and there is no visible machine stitching on the inside or outside.

Worn for a photoshoot and one indoor events the gown is in good condition apart from some sun bleaching where it has been hung on a hanger without a cover - see last four photos.

No other garments are included.
