Tudor style waistcoat with wings, collar and cuffs made from a Tudor Tailor pattern and suitable for a lower or middle class woman from the 1550s-1603.

Made of 'poor black' russet wool lined throughout with unbleached linen. The waistcoat features five gussets below the waist which create a skirt which gently flares over the hips. The waistcoat fastens with eight pairs of handmade brass hooks and eyes

Worn once for an indoor market the waistcoat is in excellent condition.

Length at back from neck to waist 16in (40.5cm)
