Woman's partlet of black worsted lined with linen. Originally made for events at Hampton Court Palace this partlet has featured in both The Tudor Tailor and The Typical Tudor books. It is suitable for a woman of any status from 1485 to 1603. 

The partlet fastens at the front with a handmade brass hook and handworked buttonhole bar. There are handmade brass hooks on all four corners which could be used to fasten the partlet to buttonhole bars work on the garment is is to be worn over. Alternatively, the partlet can be pinned in place as shown in the second and third photos. 

The outer fabric of the partlet is very hard wearing and in good condition. The lining has discolouration due to wear.

No other garments or pins are included.

Shoulder to hem at outer edge 6 1/2in (16.5cm)

Width across lower edge 12 1/2in (31.5cm)
