Woman's late 15th to early 16th century Tudor style kirtle made for The Queen's Servants book and suitable for a middling or gentle woman from 1485 to the 1510s
Made of 100% worsted wool lined in undyed cream 'sheep's colour' worsted. The kirtle has a square neckline at the front and scoop at the back. The skirt cut to fit smoothly to the waist and flares out to a full hem which is finished with self binding. The kirtle has hand stitched eyelets for lacing closed at the front. All finishing is by hand and there is no visible machine stitching on the inside or outside.
Worn for a photoshoot and one indoor events the kirtle is in excellent condition.

Bust 32 1/2in (82.5cm) when laced closed
Length from shoulder to waist 16in (40.5cm)
Skirt length from waist to hem 40in (101.5cm)
