Man's mid-century Tudor style jacket made for The Typical Tudor book and suitable for a middling or gentle man from the 1540 to the 1570s
Made of beautifully soft black worsted lined in the body with red frizado and in the skirt with black linen. The sleeve shaping is achieved with the insertion of hand-stitched gussets at the sleeve head. All finishing is by hand and there is no visible machine stitching on the inside or outside. The jacket fastens at the front with hand made cloth buttons and hand-stitched buttonholes.
Worn only for a photoshoot and one presentation the jacket is in excellent condition.
No other garments are included.
Please note: This is one of two very similar jackets. The other is made of broadcloth and is smaller.
