Man's Tudor style long gown made for The Typical Tudor book and suitable for a lowly or middling man from the 1480s to the 1600
Made of 100% Welsh wool freize in natural, undyed 'poor black'. Raw edges at hem and sleeve cuffs, faced inside the neck with worsted wool tape and hemmed at centre front. Fastened at the front, above the waist with five pairs of handmade brass hooks and eyes. Can be worn loose or belted.
Worn only for one photoshoot the gown is in excellent condition.
No other garments are included.

Length of back from base of collar to waist 16in (40.5cm)
Length from shoulder to hem 60in (152cm)
Sleeve length 58in (147cm) (worn turned back in the photographs)
