Man's cassock made for The Typical Tudor book and suitable for a lowly or middling man from the1540s -1603

A man's cassock made of grey, undyed 'sheep's colour' russet wool lined with unbleached linen. The cassock is trimmed around the neck opening and hem with a black linen tape and fastens at the neck with three cloth ball buttons and tape loops.  The sleeves are fastened at the wrist with three cloth buttons and handstitched buttonholes. All finishing is carried out by hand and no machine stitching is visible inside or outside. 

Worn only for a photoshoot and small number of events the cassock is in very good condition. 

No other garments are included.

Collar 21 1/2in (54.5cm)

Length from shoulder to hem 24in (61cm)

Sleeve length 24in (61cm) (worn folded back in photos)
