Tudor style kirtle and separate sleeves made for The Typical Tudor book and suitable for a lower or middle class woman throughout the sixteenth century.

Made of dark grey 'sheep's colour' wool russet, the upper bodies are interlined with linen canvas and lined with linen. The skirt is unlined and finished at the hem with a wool facing (see fifth photo). The bodies feature hand stitched eyelets for fastening at the front with a black cotton lace finished with handmade brass aiglets. The linen lined black woollen broadcloth sleeves are separate and designed to be pinned to the kirtle at the shoulder. 

Worn only for a photoshoot and a small number of indoor markets the kirtle is in excellent condition.

No other garments or shoes are included.

Skirt length from waist to hem 39in (99cm)

Made to fit a 5’ 7’ (170cm) tall model
