Chocolate brown Tudor style worsted wool cloth - fabric sold by the half yard

This 100% wool woven fabric was purchased from a Yorkshire mill by Ninya Mikhaila and was specially dyed for a garment commission. There is a limited amount available and the fabric won't be re-stocked here - when it's gone it's gone!

During the 16th century worsted was the choice of the middle and merchant classes for smart, aspirational garments. It is light, cool and fluid, making it perfect for summer gowns, kirtles, doublets and aprons. When colour is mentioned in documentary descriptions it is nearly always black. This fabric is soft and has a beautiful drape and sheen. It looks wonderful trimmed with black velvet.

PLEASE NOTE, this fabric is sold by the half yard (46cm). To order the exact amount required simply select multiple quantities before adding it to your cart. For example, if you need 3½ yards, select 7 in the 'quantity' box and we'll cut the 3½ yards as one continuous length of cloth.
